Dreading the Holiday

Yes, you read that right. I am actually not looking forward to two days off because I need to finish painting the house and honestly I would rather work than paint. When I was a kid I hated painting with my parents. But when I bought my own house I thought for sure I would love pickign my own paint colors and painting my very own wall. Nope, it still stinks. I painted my tiny little bathroom over the Memorial day weekend and discovered it is still boring, tedious, tiring work. If we weren't buried under wedding bills, I would hire someone to do it. Oh well, I will load up the latest Lincoln biography CornyT has been raving about and put on the old clothes and pretend it's fun. I would take pictures of my efforts but for some reason my digital camera is on the fritz. Something is wrong with its ability to power up. I have put brand new, fresh out of the package batteries in twice now and I am still getting the little out of power symbol (battery with a line through it) and then it immediately powers down. Very depressing turn of events because of the before mentioned wedding bills and the need to have a nice camera for both the wedding and the honeymoon. Anyway, I will quit whining and try to enjoy my raining, boring, back breaking holiday:). PS if anyone coming to visit me in the next couple of months would like me to hold off on the painting and would like to help me, I could probably be convinced to wait.
